Tasmania’s VFL/W High Performance Manager Ross Brosnan has provided an injury update on Brad Cox-Goodyer and Zach Adams ahead of Saturday’s clash with Richmond at UTAS Stadium.
Josh Wolfe
Josh continues to progress well from the abdominal wall injury he sustained at local level. He has now reintegrated into full team training and will be a test for this weekend.
Zach Adams
Zach will undergo an X-ray on his thumb following an injury sustained in a contest during the match against North Melbourne on the weekend. He will be a test for this weekend pending the outcome of imaging.
Max Geappen
Max is making strong progress following a patellar dislocation and subsequent surgery sustained at local level. He has returned to high-intensity running and has now integrated into football training. He is projected to return to play in 1 week.
Brad Cox-Goodyer
Brad sustained a Grade 2 AC joint sprain during our VFL match against North Melbourne on the weekend. He was able to play out the game but will now enter a rehabilitation period to strengthen the area. He is expected to return to play in 2–6 weeks, depending on his progress.
Max Roney
Max sustained a quad injury while training at local level. He is progressing well through his return-to-run program and is expected to return in 3–4 weeks.
Harry Brereton
Harry is recovering strongly from the shoulder dislocation he sustained while training at local level. He is progressing through speed, conditioning and strength work, and has begun integrating into modified-contact team training. He is expected to return in 3-5 weeks.
Tyler McGinniss
Tyler sustained a plantar plate tear at local level and has since undergone surgery. He will continue building lower-body conditioning and general strength while he remains in a boot for the next four weeks. His return timeline remains TBC.
