Tasmania Football Club is more than a football club, it’s an organisation built on purpose, pride and impact. The Marketing Operations Manager will assist in the creation and rollout of content and marketing activities that reflect the brand of Tasmania Football Club (TFC), connect deeply with fans and partners, and inspire generations, both on and off the field.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Operations Manager plays a critical role in bringing the Club’s brand and campaigns to life through exceptional execution.
The role is responsible for delivering high-quality, timely and integrated marketing activity that supports consumer initiatives (including membership, retail and education), match day marketing and fan engagement, community programs and initiatives, and commercial outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Marketing Operations & Campaign Delivery
Plan, coordinate and support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, events and community channels.
Manage marketing calendars, workflows and production schedules to ensure timely delivery of assets and content.
Support the creation, planning and execution of fan engagement initiatives, membership campaigns, partner activations and match day marketing.
Coordinate marketing support and promotion for community appearances, school visits, regional roadshows and mascot activations to maximise brand visibility and fan connection.
CRM & Marketing Automation
Deliver eDMs through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including audience segmentation, journey builds and performance optimisation.
Maintain and optimise marketing technology, including Salesforce CRM and analytics tools, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting.
Develop and enhance the full customer journey across all touchpoints, leveraging automation and personalisation capabilities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to integrate systems and processes for greater efficiency, including Salesforce integrations.
Support database management, segmentation and data hygiene within Salesforce to improve targeting accuracy and campaign impact.
Community & Brand Engagement
Support the planning, scheduling and promotion of player, mascot and Club ambassador appearances across community events, schools, corporate functions and partner activations.
Ensure all appearances align with brand standards, commercial obligations and community engagement objectives.
Work closely with the Community and Football departments to maximise storytelling opportunities across owned channels.
Capture and leverage content from appearances to drive digital engagement, membership acquisition and brand awareness
Project Management & Reporting
Manage multiple concurrent marketing projects, coordinating internal and external teams to deliver on time.
Track timelines, approvals and campaign progress while maintaining marketing documentation, templates and workflows.
Monitor campaign performance and support reporting across digital channels and fan engagement metrics.
Identify insights and opportunities to improve campaign delivery, efficiency and future marketing activity.
Skills & Experience
Considerable experience in marketing and campaign delivery, coordinating integrated campaigns across digital, social and content channels (sport, entertainment, events or membership organisations preferred).
Experience supporting community engagement initiatives, events or brand activations.
Strong project management and organisational capability, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
Confident communicator with proven stakeholder management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams, agencies or creative partners.
Data-informed and delivery-focused mindset, with familiarity in campaign reporting, analytics tools and continuous improvement practices.
Highly organised, proactive and solutions-oriented, with a collaborative, team-first approach and a genuine passion for sport, community and fan engagement.
