Tasmania’s VFL/W High Performance Manager Ross Brosnan has provided an injury update ahead of Friday’s clash with Frankston at Kinetic Stadium, with Devils captain Robbie Fox a chance to make his return.
Robbie Fox
We’re really pleased with how Robbie has progressed through his rehabilitation program after sustaining a low-grade calf strain during pre-season. He’ll be a test for Friday’s match against Frankston.
Harry Bayles
Harry sustained a low-grade hamstring strain during match simulation and is progressing well through his rehabilitation program. He is expected to return in 1-2 weeks.
Jacob Boyd
Jacob entered the program with a pre-existing patellar dislocation and is progressing well through rehabilitation. He had entered full training and match simulation, and is expected to return in 2-3 weeks.
Geordie Payne
Geordie sustained a low-grade calf strain against Coburg and has since commenced his return to run program. He is expected to return to play in 4 weeks.
Sam Green
Sam sustained a knee injury following a twisting incident whilst training at local level. He is expected to return to play in 4-5 weeks.
Cameron Owen
Cameron sustained a hamstring strain at training and is progressing well through his high-speed running loads. Contact and agility work is now being introduced. He is expected to return in 4-5 weeks.
Baker Smith
Baker sustained a zygoma fracture at training and is making good early recovery from his operation. His return-to-play timeline is expected to be 6-7 weeks.
Rylee McHenry
Riley sustained a syndesmosis injury during our match simulation. He is making good early recovery and has begun return-to-run preparation, full body strength, and off-legs conditioning. He is expected to return in 8 weeks.
Harry Brereton
Harry dislocated his shoulder whilst training at local level and has since undergone surgery. He is recovering well and has commenced off-legs aerobic conditioning, core work, and lower body strength training. He will come out of his sling next week. He is expected to return in 12 weeks.
