Tasmania’s VFL/W High Performance Manager Ross Brosnan has provided an injury update on Max Roney, Brad Cox-Goodyer and Robbie Fox ahead of Saturday’s clash with Southport.

Max Roney

Max sustained a quad injury during local level training last week and was a late out for our game against Werribee. He will undergo a scan this week, with a return-to-play timeline to be determined following the results.

Brad Cox-Goodyer

Brad is making good progress from the corky he sustained during our clash against Werribee. He will be further assessed on Wednesday night before determining his availability for this weekend. Test.

Robbie Fox

Robbie was managed last weekend against Werribee. He completed an excellent session last night and will be further assessed on Wednesday before determining his availability for this weekend. Test.

Baker Smith

Baker is making good progress from the zygoma fracture sustained at training earlier this year. He will complete match simulation this week and is expected to be available next weekend.

Max Geappen

Max is making good progress from the patellar dislocation and subsequent operation sustained at a local level. He continues to work on off-legs conditioning and full-body strength while reducing swelling in the affected limb. We are aiming for Max to return to early-stage running in the coming weeks, with a projected return-to-play timeframe of 3-5 weeks from that point.

Zach Adams

Zach is making great progress from the popliteus muscle injury sustained during our match against Sandringham. He has recommenced running and is also progressing well with his off-legs conditioning and strength programs and is expected to return in 3–5 weeks.

Josh Wolfe

Josh is making excellent progress from the abdominal wall injury sustained at a local level three weeks ago. He has begun building his aerobic running capacity alongside general strength work. He will see the specialist again next week and is expected to complete a 2–3 week return-to-perform block following that appointment. He is expected to return in 3-5 weeks.

Harry Brereton

Harry dislocated his shoulder during local-level training and is progressing well through his speed, conditioning and strength work. He has now begun integrating football-specific components into his conditioning. He is expected to return in 7-9 weeks.

Tyler McGuinness

Tyler sustained a plantar plate tear at local level four weeks ago and has since undergone surgery. His return timeline remains TBC pending specialist review.
