Harry Bayles and Oscar Paprotny will make their VFL debuts in Saturday’s blockbuster clash with Werribee at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval.
It’s welcome reward for the duo, who have both impressed playing for Glenorchy and Clarence in the SFL this season.
Bayles, a former Lefroy Medallist as Tasmania’s best player in the state game against NSW/ACT in 2024, is a hard running and prolific ball winner who will play an integral role in the absence of Robbie Fox in the midfield this weekend.
A strong-bodied midfielder, Paprotny played a significant role in Clarence’s SFL premiership winning side last season, also finishing as joint runner-up in the William Leitch Medal for the competition best and fairest.
Robbie Fox (managed) and Zach Adams (knee) will miss Saturday’s encounter after sustaining injuries in the win over Sandringham in Launceston.
