Tasmania has received a major boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Southport at North Hobart Oval, with club captain Robbie Fox named to return.
After making the move home to Tasmania ahead of the Devils’ inaugural VFL campaign, Fox has endured an interrupted start to the season, with calf and groin injuries limiting the 33-year-old to three appearances.
Fox’s inclusion will see him play his fourth game of the season, while Cameron Owen is set to make his Tasmania debut.
The 204cm ruckman from Clarence previously crossed paths with Fox during his time at the Sydney Swans after being drafted by the club in 2022.
The 21-year-old already boasts strong VFL experience, having played 18 games for the Sydney Swans and a further 14 with Footscray.
Jaxon Artemis (managed) and Rory Wright (omitted) will both miss Saturday’s double-header.
Gates open from 10:00am, with the VFL first bounce at 11:05am before the VFLW side takes the field at 2:35pm at North Hobart Oval.
