Tasmania's High Performance Manager Ross Brosnan has provided an update on Jye Menzie, Daniel Cooney and Brad Cox-Goodyer ahead of Saturday’s clash with the Swans in Sydney.
Jye Menzie
Jye sustained a low-grade hip flexor injury during the Gold Coast match and was managed late in the game. He has progressed well through rehabilitation and will be a test for this weekend, pending Wednesday’s training session.
Daniel Cooney
Daniel sustained a shoulder AC joint injury while playing at local level. He has made good progress through his rehabilitation and will be a test for this weekend, pending this Wednesday's training.
Brad Cox-Goodyer
Brad sustained a similar AC joint injury mechanism during the Williamstown match. He has responded well and will be a test for this weekend, pending this Wednesday's training.
Caleb Mitchell
Caleb sustained an ankle injury after his ankle became trapped underneath another player during the third quarter of the Gold Coast match. He is progressing through the early stages of rehabilitation and is expected to return in 3–4 weeks.
Max Roney
Max sustained a quad tendon injury during the warm-up ahead of the Gold Coast match while kicking a ball. He has recommenced his rehabilitation program and is expected to miss 8–12 weeks.
Tyler McGinniss
Tyler sustained a plantar plate tear at local level and has since undergone surgery. He has now come out of the boot, continues to progress his lower-body conditioning and strength, and is expected to commence his return-to-run program next week. His return timeline remains TBC.
