Hugh Dixon has capped off an outstanding VFL season by winning the Devils’ inaugural Best & Fairest award.

The experienced key forward was recognised for his consistency and impact throughout the club’s historic first VFL campaign, polling 241 votes to claim the honour.

Dixon produced another impressive season after returning home to Tasmania following a standout 2025 campaign with Southport.

The 27-year-old featured in all 18 home-and-away matches for the Devils, providing a strong presence in attack and establishing himself as one of the competition’s leading key forwards.

The former West Coast Eagle and Fremantle Docker kicked 32 goals during the home-and-away season while averaging 14.8 disposals, 2.6 contested marks and 1.8 goals per game.

Dixon’s consistency saw him finish seven votes clear at the top of the count, becoming the first player in club history to win Tasmania’s VFL Best & Fairest award.

He was also presented with the Stronger Together Award, recognising the player who best reflected the team’s values, as voted by the playing group.

Nick Williams capped off an excellent campaign by finishing runner-up with 234 votes, while Brandon Leary placed third with 233 votes.

Small forward Jed Hagan was recognised as Tasmania’s Leading Goalkicker after booting 38 goals across 20 appearances in his debut VFL season.

Bailey Boag was named Tasmania’s Best Finals Player following two outstanding performances during the Devils’ inaugural finals campaign.

Boag averaged 35 disposals, six tackles and six clearances across the two matches.
