The Tasmania Devils are set to launch their Dancing With The Devils Leadership Series in 2026, a new initiative aimed at developing the state’s next generation of high performing leaders.
Designed as a premium professional learning experience, the leadership series will provide senior managers and emerging leaders with a unique opportunity to build their leadership credentials through a powerful blend of contemporary, evidence-based leadership principles and insights drawn directly from elite sport.
Grounded in four of the Devils’ core Why and Way values – the Club’s signature purpose and values framework - the series has been crafted to develop leaders who can accelerate learning, embrace individuality, and build teams capable of thriving together in complex, high-stakes environments.
Four Locations. Four Experiences.
Participants will gather on four occasions throughout 2026 at football-connected venues across the state, reinforcing the Club’s commitment to community and connection.
Each full-day workshop will be headlined by a keynote speaker offering exclusive access to the inner workings of the Tasmania Football Club, including Brendon Gale, Kath McCann, Lauren Jauncey and key football department staff. Participants will gain insight into leadership, culture and high-performance systems from those operating inside an elite sporting environment.
Beyond the keynote addresses, the series is deliberately designed to foster cross-pollination of ideas. Facilitated discussions, collaborative sense-making and structured reflection will ensure participants translate insights from sport into practical strategies for their own organisations.
Attendees will also receive access to select Devils VFL/W training sessions, with opportunities to hear directly from coaching and high-performance staff about preparation, alignment and establishing a culture of excellence.
A Select Cohort
The program is limited in size, with a maximum of two per organisation to preserve cohort diversity. The series will commence in May 2026. Subsequent workshops will run in July, September and November, including monthly online ‘Community of Practice’ sessions to maintain continuity between workshop days.
Applications will open in March, with prospective participants required to submit a written application outlining their leadership aspirations and impact goals.
Beyond The Series
Graduates of the Dancing with the Devils Leadership Series will be invited to join an exclusive alumni network, providing ongoing access to networking events and professional development opportunities.
Successful completion of the program will also enable participants to receive credit toward a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Organisational Capability at the University of Tasmania.
As the Tasmania Devils continue to build momentum on the field, the Leadership Series signals an equally strong commitment off it - developing leaders across the state who are ready to perform when it matters most.
