Georgia Walker has named an unchanged line-up for Saturday’s clash with Collingwood at La Trobe University, Bundoora.
The Devils will be fuelled by the euphoria of their first ever VFLW win when they travel back to Melbourne for a clash with Collingwood on Saturday.
The Devils produced a commanding performance against Sandringham on Sunday, running out winners by 25-points at Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
“The relief was huge to win and just to know that we can back our gameplan is so special and to know what we are building here can work and will work if we can maintain it,” Devils’ leader Georgia Nicholas said.
Collingwood presents a formidable challenge for Tasmania.
The Magpies are on top of the ladder with five straight wins to start the season and a whopping percentage of 364.4.
“I think we’ve just got to go in with the same belief and confidence that we can do this now,” Nicholas said.
“Just [the opportunity] to hold that for four quarters against Collingwood – I’m excited.”
A dual VFLW premiership player with North Melbourne, Nicholas will achieve a special milestone on Saturday.
But she isn’t letting her 50th league appearance distract her from the greater objective.
“It’s just another milestone,” she said.
“I’m just looking for the win to be honest for the team so we will put that [milestone] to the side.”
The Devils’ VFLW match with Collingwood gets underway at Latrobe University in Bundoora at 9:05am.
