Tasmania will be without Ellie Hall for the remainder of the 2026 VFLW season, with scans revealing the star defender fractured her ankle in Saturday’s defeat to Carlton.
Hailing from Narrandera in the New South Wales Riverina, Hall wasted no time making an impact in her debut VFLW campaign, averaging 15.7 disposals, 4.4 marks and 4.7 tackles across her 10 games, primarily playing off half-back.
The former GWS Giants Academy product was assisted from the field in the third quarter and did not return to play, with the club now in the early stages of establishing her holistic management plan, including surgical planning.
VFL/W High-Performance Manager Ross Brosnan has also provided an update on Georgia Nicholas ahead of ahead of Sunday’s clash with Geelong at Deakin University Oval.

Jemma sustained a high-grade ankle injury in the third quarter against Collingwood. She is progressing through her rehabilitation and is expected to return in two weeks.

Georgia sustained a low-grade hamstring strain in the second quarter against Carlton. She has commenced her return-to-play program and is expected to return in two weeks.
Jessie Williams
Jessie sustained an ACL injury following a run-down tackle early in the match against Port Melbourne at ETU Stadium. The club will continue to support her holistically through the next stage of her rehabilitation.
Meghan Gaffney
Meghan sustained an ACL injury during our pre-season clash with Carlton and has since commenced her early management plan.
Brooke Tuszynski
Brooke sustained an ACL injury while playing at local level. The club will continue to support her holistically through the next stage of her rehabilitation.
Libby Haines
Libby unfortunately sustained an ACL injury during a contest in the fourth quarter against Essendon. Scans have since confirmed the injury, and the club will continue to support her holistically through the next stage of her rehabilitation.
Georgia Purton
